WILLIAM PRICE was born on July 31, 1927. He became a member of the Army while in Washington, District Of Columbia and attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
On March 29, 1968 at the age of 40, WILLIAM PRICE gave his life in the service of our country, serving with Advisory Team 87, in South Vietnam, Long Khanh Province, at the age of 40.

Colonel Price had previously served in combat roles in both World War II and Korea and was the receipient of the Silver Star, the Legion of Merit and the Purple Heart.
Colonel William Sidway Price – Battalion Commander wasn’t on the ship as he flew to Vietnam with the advance party. He was killed late March 68 when his O-1 observation plane took a bullet near Xuan Loc after he became an ARVN advisor.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
