Circumstances of Death: Lieutenant John Bryan Gore, 30, was killed November 15, 1985 when his twin-engine plane crashed near Dothan, Alabama. He was among the three men who died when their turboprop plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Napier Field. He was assigned to the Navy’s Fleet Logistic Support Squadron at Andrews Air Force Base.
Lieutenant Gore was buried with full military honors in Arlington National Cemetery.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history. Many of his articles can be found on renowned portals like the New York Times, Washingtonpost or Wikipedia.
