His wife, Fannie Hall Wickliffe Throckmorton (Died February 3, 1921), is buried with him, as is his step-daughter, Katherine H. W. Swift (1900-1993)

Also in this gravesite are his son, O. Witkliffe Throckmorton, Lieutenant Colonel, United States Army (1868-1941) and his son’s wife, Florence Wilson Throckmorton (1875-1947).
