Rear Admiral Alban “Stormy” Weber, U.S. Navy retired, residing at Atlantic Shores, passed away September 1, 2007.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was a graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Law School.
Rear Admiral Weber was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy where he commanded a destroyer escort in the South Pacific during World War II. He also retired as Northwestern University’s chief council and legal advisor and was the former Head of the Federation of Independent Colleges and University’s in Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Kenny Weber; two daughters, Peggy Ann Howard of Chicago and Gloria Weber-Zuckerman of Philadelphia; two sons, Brian J.K. Weber of Chicago and Chip Weber of Virginia Beach; and 10 grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted in Arlington National Cemetery Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at 2 p.m.
Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
