Ossie F. Snellings, the son of Mrs. Mary Snellings of Alexandria, Virginia, graduated from George Washington High School in Alexanderia and was shortly thereafter drafted into the United States Army. Following basic training he was assigned to the European Theater of Operations and he was killed in action in France during the Normandy Invasion following D-Day.
I would like information on Ossie Snellings buried at Arlington National Cemetary. He was killed in France during the Normandy Invasion. I would like to find out what day he was listed as KIA. I would like to have his name on the WWII Memorial at Bedford, Virginia, if he qualifies. He was my cousin and all of his immediate families is gone and any help would be greatly appreciated.
