Taylor (1847-1907) attained the rank of Colonel, Ordnance Department. On his death he was buried in Section 1 of Arlington National Cemetery. His wife, Annie Landon Gardner Taylor (1850-1938) is buried with him.
WASHINGTON, March 26, 1907 – Colonel Daniel M. Taylor, USA, died today at Augusta, Georgia. Colonel Taylor was a brother of the late Rear Admiral Taylor, formerly Chief of the Bureau of Navigation, and brother-in-law of Admiral Evans, Commander in Chief of the Atlantic Fleet.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
