On Tuesday, October 2, 2001, of Arlington, Virginia, beloved wife of the late Vice Admiral Robert Lee Townsend; mother of Terrell Viner; daughter of George W. Archer. Also survived by two grandchildren, Lieutenant Colonel Don P. Speers, Jr. and Shawn Elizabeth Speers and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call at THE EVERLY-WHEATLEY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA, on Thursday, October 4 from 4 to 6 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m.
Graveside service and interment Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, October 15 at 10 a.m. Please meet at Administration Building at 9:30 a.m
