On Friday, June 26, 1998, in Fort Worth,Texas. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, preceded by a memorial service at the Old Post Chapel at Ft. Myer at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 1998.
Harold Coffee was born in Brunswick, Georgia on April 21, 1923. He grew up in Washington, DC and graduated from Western High School in 1942. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1951, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega National Fraternity.
He received his pilot’s wings in 1944. During his 35 year military career he served in WWII, Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Harold retired from the Air Force as a Colonel in April 1978. His awards include three Legions of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross with cluster, 13 air medals,
eight battle stars and 16 commendations, campaign ribbons and foreign decorations.
In 1991, he retired from General Dynamics after 13 years in International (F-16) Marketing program.
Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 52 years, Patricia Jeanne Davis; son, Robert R. Coffee; daughters, Deborah Coffee Pevehouse and husband, Doug and Kimberley Coffee Jones and husband, Douglas; sister, Joanne Patricia Coffee and grandchildren, Jeffrey and Patrick Pevehouse, Jane and Katherine Coffee, Sean and Tyler Jones.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army. So it was no wonder that sooner or later his interests drew him to American history and especially to American military history.
