Charles Walter Rowell, Jr., Second Lieutenant, United States Army:
Died on 3 December 1921 and was buried with full military honors in Arlington National Cemetery (Section 3, Grave 4496).
He was born about 1884. He married Susan Heard Brown. Susan was born 1896. Susan died 1995 at 99 years of age. Charles Walter Rowell Jr. and Susan Heard Brown had the following child: Charles Walter Rowell III was born 1922.
His father, Charles Walter Rowell was born in 1850. Charles died July 10, 1898 at 48 years of age. Graduated in the West Point class of 1874, and had lived in Lockport, New York, at the time of his appointment. He died at the Battle of Santiago, Cuba on July 10, 1898, during the Spanish-American War. Charles was once stationed at Fort Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho (later Fort Sherman).

Charles died 10 July 1898 at 48 years of age. Sarah Maria Cooper Wheaton and Charles Walter Rowell had the following children: Frank Wheaton Rowell was born 29 February 1880. Maria Cooper Rowell was born 1882. Maria died 1933 in La Jolla, California, at 51 years of age. Charles Walter Rowell Jr. was born about 1884. Ashley Quintard Rowell was born about 1886. Ashley died 1931 at 45 years of age. He married Agnes Sherburne. Amelia Burrill Rowell was born 1887. Amelia died 1891 at 4 years of age.
Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
