David Clark Cather (1879-1944)
Born on December 19, 1879 in Clearbrook, Virginia.
M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1903. Commissioned in the Medical Corps in 1904. Duty at Naval Hospital Canacao, Philippines during World War I. Senior Medical Officer at Submarine Base Coco Solo, Canal Zone August 1928-July 1930. Graduated from Naval War College in 1931. Medical Officer in Command of Naval Hospital Puget Sound 1935-1939. Rear Admiral in January 1939.
Inspector of Medical Department Activities, Pacific Coast 1939-1942.
Retired in December 1942.
Died on June 25, 1944.

Michael Robert Patterson was born in Arlington and is the son of a former officer of the US Army.
