Raymond Potter Campbell was born in California on 12 March 1892. He served in the United States Army in both World War I and World War II. He was a Quartermaster officer and a recipient of the Legion of Merit. Colonel Campbell died on 28 August 1953 and was buried with full military honors in Arlington National Cemetery.
His son, Raymond Potter Campbell, Jr., Colonel, United States Army, is buried adjacent to him in Arlington National Cemetery.
