Peter H. Allabach, Colonel, United States Army, 131st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. Commanded the 2nd Brigade, 3rd Division, V Army Corps.

Born at Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, September 5, 1824. Died at Washington, D.C., February 11, 1892. Buried with full military honors in Section 1, Grave 253-WS, of Arlington National Cemetery.

Allabach, Peter H., Sept. 5, 1824 born at Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, August 18, 1862. Colonel, 131st Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment, a nine-month regiment; the regiment was at Antietam, Maryland (not engaged) and fought at Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville, Virginia, September 12, 1862-February 15, 1863 and March 7-May 25, 1863.

Colonel Allabach commanded the 2nd Brigade, 3rd Division, V Corps, Army of the Potomac at all three battle sites; May 23 (sic), 1863 mustered out at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In 1870 he was living in Jenkins Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. In 1890-1891 he was listed as captain, Capitol Police, Washington, D. C.  February 11, 1892, died at Washington, D.C. and buried in Section 1, Grave 253-WS at Arlington National Cemetery; 1898 his widow applied for a Civil War pension from the District of Columbia; his wife Nancy Gertrude Blanchard Allabach (December 24, 1829-May 18, 1906) is buried with him.
