My Reality:
Memorial Day 1996
By Susan Winters

It was damp and cool
this time on the hill
My emotions are out of control
as I sink to my knees in front
of his name and sob...............!

The pain racks my soul
as I say over and over again
how I hate this reality my life has become.
Once a year visits on Memorial Day
and all I can give him now are
flowers and tears!

Written in loving memory of Sergeant Franklin Dennis Winters by his mother.

May we never forget the sacrifices made by our military forces, whether it be in war or in peace.
