Bobbie E. Mozelle – Master Sergeant (Retired), United States Air Force

Shot by a lone assassin as he left his house in Adana, Turkey, February 7, 1991, for the giant U.S. Air Force Base at Inriclik, where he was a civilian employee. In claiming the hit, the Turkish Dev Sol Organization denounced “the bloody games of U.S. imperialism.” Since terrorism began, the undergound group has bombed more than a dozen buildings or vehicles linked to the United States or its coalition (Gulf War) partners. Some members of the group have trained with Palestinian guerillas in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley.

The base in Turkey was a staging area for B-52 raids against Iraw during Operation Desert Storm. He was 44 when killed and was buried in Section 66 of Arlington National Cemetery following full military honors.
